Lynx Mesa Review in Recording Magazine (November 2025)

November 10, 2025

We were excited when we found out that Recording Magazine‘s review of the Mesa Thunderbolt 3 Desktop Interface/Converter would be written by none other than the periodical’s editor in chief, Paul Vnuk Jr. Paul is a highly-respected veteran of the pro audio realm, and we knew he’d really put the Mesa through its paces in real-world audio creative applications.

We were right. The review, in the November 2025 issue of Recording, goes through all the crucial features and specifications of our first desktop-format audio interface and A/D/A converter tool. Recording subscribers (both of the print edition or the digital version) can read the review in its entirety, but we thought we’d mention a few of Paul’s many worthy quotes on the Mesa.

“The install and app setup was about as plug-and-play as it gets, and thanks to the well-designed simplicity of the unit’s routing, both on screen and on the unit itself, I was up and tracking with virtually no learning curve.”

“The converters in the Mesa are the same as those found in the Aurora(n) series, and they make use of the company’s proprietary SynchroLock 2 jitter rediction. This makes them some of the cleanest, most transparent converters on the market.”

“From its design and form factor to its well-chosen selection of ins and outs, it is a very welcome addition to the world of professional, high-quality desktop interface options.”
